As bad as I want all of this to be true, I'm really struggling with the idea that Saban would be jetting all over recruiting kids to a school he is leaving. Don't know how he would play that. He'd have to lie to every recruit....which would be beneath the pail...even for Saban.

The deal hasn't been announced, so we don't know if it's been finalized.
It's common for coaches to continue recruiting and going through their routine even when negotiating a contract with a new school. Hell, Tuberville left in the middle of a recruiting visit to take the Cincinnati job.

This plane originated in Austin and Saban was visiting a recruit in NW Arkansas, and he has not been heard from since.
