Bro, for most of them I will agree with you. However, there were a bunch who devoted their entire week to tracking this shite. It was pathetic, and showed that Bama and Saban were very much in the heads of a large percentage of LSU fans.

It is Christmas time, why not. (LOL)
I don't hate Saban I just want him coaching in another country if possible

I'll quote myself from another thread, because this is one of those "the truth lies somewhere in the middle" things.
quote:
[most] LSU fans are about as mad right now as Bama fans were 24 hours ago. That is to say, not very.
Sure, y'all wanted him gone. After all, the melt would have possibly been nice, and we'd get to feel a bit of what y'all felt.
In the end, though, if he didn't leave, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
And honestly, most of us didn't really think he'd be going, and the vast majority of y'all didn't either.
Now we all get to laugh at Texas's expense. And honestly, they fricking deserve it.

You have to admit when you are wrong, and I was wrong. (Apparently that is Un-American now or something) I really thought this was it.
I am still convinced he was thinking about it, but probably after having to deal with that bunch of Texans he decided you tree burning, fanatical, ungrateful, ingrate rednecks were not so bad after all.
Maybe Mrs. Terry saw all that Coach Coed Sex going on in Caligula. (see UT Meltdown thread) and said hell no Nicky.
Who knows.
But here is to you guys. You get to keep Satan for another year at least.

Honestly, while someone may go after him, and while he may be gone when they do, I don't think it will be Texas again, at least not any time soon.
He already slapped their hand away, and those big money, big ego boosters with Vatican money don't take kindly to being spurned.

Bro, you really think this was the first time this board has done this don't you?

Texas is a train wreck. I don't beleive we were all trolled like some think. I think UT is in some kinda of BOR turmoil right now. I think Mack is keeping his job, I really do.
One of those UT guys (who shall like Voldermort not be named), said that Thursday at the BOR meeting instead of firing Brown and the President they voted to give the current president a vote of confidence and that meant that the BOG guy pushing for Saban was gone and that Brown may even keep his job.

While I think Texas is definitely a train wreck, I sincerely doubt there's anything that convoluted going on behind the scenes.
I think some sort of booster probably made overtures toward him and, if anything, the fact that it was a booster instead of an actual university official probably made him realize just what he'd be stepping into in terms of booster involvement at Texas. I can't see him saying anything other than, "frick you," to that, at least once Sexton secures the raise opportunity.

I'm sure our big money fellas were insufferable and nosey at some point, but at least they have the sense (and football obsession) to let somebody like Saban run his own damn flagship.

Say bruh, this is and has always been a rumor board. It's only because it involves you insufferable bastards that anyone is getting their panties in a wad. We've always tracked planes, had "sources," etc. You don't have to be here you know. So who's the one that's obsessed again??

Well, that's the thing about our big money guys. They're not quite as big money as the Texas guys, for one.
For another, we've born witness to just how badly booster involvement can go wrong with this program.
For a third, we've also seen just how little that booster involvement would have accomplished, even if we hadn't gotten popped for it.
This program has had its name dragged through the mud due to boosters. As a result of all that, I'd say our boosters were probably incredibly meek and easily-cowed, especially for a brand name program. A Nick Saban could stroll in, tell them to frick the hell off, and they'd just shuffle their buster browns in the dirt a bit and walk off with their hands thrust in their pockets.
