Factoring in all of the variables, an 8 or 9 win season with higher expectations is unacceptable at any school. No job is secure long term in this business.

It depends on what the coach wants to achieve.

At LSU, you have a tough schedule every year in the toughest conference. But the recruiting grounds are very fertile. Getting another NC is very difficult but achievable if you win the SEC.

At Michigan, you have to beat Ohio St. and maybe Wisconsin and/or Penn St. depending on the rotation.
Seems easier there than in the SEC. They aren't really concerned about NC's there anymore.

From the link --

quote:

The Michigan scout board seems lukewarm about Miles. Some keep bringing up rumors about Miles sleeping with Moeller's wife, which caused Moeller's drunken outburst. Today it's a little more positive about Miles, but over the weekend there was not much support for him.

I never heard this before.

NC's pre-1950 are absolutely meaningless. They have one in sixty years and it was a bullshite split that they likely didn't even deserve.
