LSU fans need to hold Alleva's feet to the fire

EVERYONE knows the bill of goods that was sold to LSU fans when Orgeron was hired. He will hire and retain "the very best coordinators." This was not a throwaway line, and it was a key, if not THE key justification for hiring Orgeron.

I hate that Ensminger is being put in this position. He is a good guy and good coach. But in no way, shape or form is Steve Ensminger "one of the very best offensive coordinators" in college football. This is not even seriously debatable.

So, if Ensminger is the hire, that means that Orgeron has clearly RENEGED on the key promise that got him hired.

We hear that Matt Canada is playing hardball and demanding his full buyout. Good on em! Why the hell wouldn't he do that? If I were the LSU decisionmakers (those above Alleva) I wouldn't agree to pay Canada's buyout, and if that resulted in Orgeron resigning, well, gee, so be it. We have a perfectly good guy on staff right now buttoned up for 4 years, give him HC pay and be done with it.
