re: LSU Fans, even Miles supporters, must be excited about potential Miles to UM

As much as I appreciate what Miles has done in his time here, and as much as I like the guy as a person, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he left. I would be happy for him, and I would be excited for LSU. It would be a win-win for both parties, IMO.

awesome....now who are you going to get to put in this Chip Kelly offense?
It's simple, you hire both Harbrahs to be co-HCs to install Chip Kelly's offense. Between the two of them I'm sure one can figure that shite out.

Miles will gut LSU likely. Taking Chavis who will bring Brick, Cam would love to be back at Michigan as well. Might even be convincing enough to take Wilson as well. Michigan has bank and would give him the resources to go all out in recruiting.
He would then do like Urban Meyer from Ohio State has done and use his ties to pluck top talent from Louisiana and other surrounding southern areas.
LSU will then be tasked to pulling in a new staff, keeping Brandon Harris (who came here because of Cam), Dylan Moses, Zadock Dinkelmann, and Feliepe Franks. The little support they have on Shea Patterson with his brother here will also be tested.
Some guys would also transfer with Miles as well as recruits we have now, plus the huge recruiting class we are looking forward to in 2016.
If we don't pull in a big name and big time OC and DC and major recruiters, Bama, Ole Miss, MSU, UGA, etc, will gut Louisiana in 2016. That whole crop of top talent will be spread across the SEC.
So I wonder will LSU fans who hate Miles as a coach, would really want to take this risk? I'd rather be stable.

Nah man. Coaches are lining up at the door just like Texas, USC, Tennessee, Florida and Michigan.
Nah man that's not the same thing. LSU is different. Harbaugh doesn't want to coach his alma mater he wants to coach here.
If we strike out on Harbaugh (which I can't see) then Gruden would be next. He's been in the booth too long and is just itching to get out. LSU would be the school to scratch that itch.
Of course we would tell Gruden no if the super secret guy came along. I'm hearing Bill Cowher is considering the job.
Bottom line is I know FL settled for Wil Muschamp (whom we all wanted but let's totally ignore that), TN didn't get Gruden (because he's obviously waiting for that LSU job) and hired Butch Jones, MI fired Lloyd Carr after winning games but that has worked out fine for them. Texas got the guy they targeted from the start in Charlie Strong, why can't LSU do the same?

Mark Helfrich. The guy that is most likely taking his Oregon team to the playoffs.

Let the purging begin. This is assuming the new hire wouldn't be a bigger draw. Cameron has lost his luster somewhat. Besides, Harris has rode the bench behind the one of the most inept QB LSU has ever had. And no player is following Miles to play in the Big Ten.

LSU has been shitty before and they can be shitty again. Hiring coaches is a pretty risky thing to navigate.
This.
I will be very scared if Miles leaves. Especially with Alleva making decisions.

One more time: Alleva will not be making this decision; TAF will.
TAF is NOT going to trust Alleva to not frick up the cash cow. Not gonna happen.

Of course TAF will have a major hand in it.

Yep, you keep on thinking like that.
