I know he had a bad year this year but Jamey Chadwell would be a solid hire.

The problem isn’t the system itself. It’s just not the best fit for college football. It’s complicated and very heavy on zone. And it’s read and react, which can neuter aggression in younger players and get them thinking too much. The limited practice time in college and turnover from the portal just make it harder to run a system like his well consistently. It’s not a mystery why their defense hasn’t been quite as good the last 2-3 seasons.
