In some ways wouldn't be good to switch up coaches every 4 to 5 years. It seems that when a new coach comes in, he dominates for a few years but then other schools in the conference figure out how to beat him/his system. Bringing in fresh gameplans every 4 to 5 years keeps the competition on its toes.

I understand there are downsides to this. Recruiting may suffer the year that the coach leaves and the players already on the team would have to learn a new system. Anyway, I'm ready for a change. I like Miles and all but I don't want him here for 10+ years and that's probably what would happen if he doesn't walk this year.

I know a lot of people will disagree but even Petey with his #1 recruiting classes every year could not continue dominating the PAC 10.
