Jim Tressel will be back eventually. He'll take a lesser job for a year, give them a ton of publicity, he'll turn them around then leave for a big boy job.

Can't see this happening. He'd be almost 65 when the show-cause ended. Factor in 2 years to turn around a lower tier school, and he'd be nearing 70 if he got another shot.

Given what he's doing at Akron, I think he'll stay in academia.

There's a misconception, he can coach now despite having 2 years left of show cause... Any school can hire him but they have to go to the NCAA explaining why he should be their coach and then accept any what the NCAA gives them, ie 2 game suspension of what have you

Not me.

But then again, it was my team who had to pay for the fact that he lied about those guys' infractions in order to get them eligible for the Sugar Bowl. If he doesn't lie, Pryor doesn't play and the Hogs cruise. But no, he had to get over that SEC hump.

Freaking pathetic.

He's working with Maurice Clarett right now to help troubled youths stay out of trouble. They have a pretty good 30 for 30 on it. Maurice Clarett got did dirty by tOSU. Yet another reason why I hate that school.

Nope, he got caught red handed lying to the NCAA and took the fall for the whole Athletic Department

I know and I agree to a certain extent. But after seeing what happened at Penn State, Tressell's transgressions pale in comparison

There were serious rumors he was in play for Nebraska if Bo P was sent packing.

People look at this "scandal" and the guy acted like a god damn saint for the school. He took a bullet (hell he took a whole clip) for tOSU and took the entire fall. I have no sources but I'm comfortable in saying someone higher up than the coach knew these kids were doing shite.

When i look at coaches, I look at how their players, past and present, talk about them. You can tell a lot about a guy when former players bash you later. Tressel was put up on his former players' shoulders this year in the 'Shoe. Guy is absolutely loved by his former players.
