No, the SEC schools just pay the highest salaries and attract the best coaches. As such, since many of the best coaches and assistants are already in the SEC...
Also, there's the issue of familiarity. If your looking for a new assistant coach, and coach Bill's unit at Whatsamadda U beat your arse last year, then coach Bill would be high on your list.
And then, of course,there's the whole angle of experience recruiting the South. Coaches in the SEC would have that on their resumes.
