What do you think the chances are that Miles replaces Crowton after the Bowl Game?

Not sure...but i find it peculiar that Gonzales would leave UF to come to LSU for the same position. And Miles is known for giving his assistants time to find other jobs rather than firing them. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Crowton is gone after the bowl game and Gonzo is made OC.

Does seem like a real possiblity. I am hopeful this happens. Crowton has worn out his welcome, and I was a Crowton fan.

not if the new coach was good

as I mentioned in the second part of my post - it is not easy to find the right person for the job to guarantee a home run hire ( which is what most folks here want).

I can think of only a few - Spurrier/Urban at UF, Petey @USC, Stoops@OU and if Bama wins this year and sustains it for the next couple of years then include Saban.

So tell me Doc, who do you think would be breaking down the doors to come coach here? Serious question!

Serious answer. Any coach in college football who wants to make bank to the tune of $4 million a year.

Serious reply. Are you really making yourself believe that? How many coaches out there are worth that kind of money? Those that are, which one of them would leave what they currently have? Here's a newsflash: as much as we all love LSU, there are other, more desirable jobs out there. Not everyone believes LSU is the pinnacle of coaching jobs like some on this board make it out to be!
(Please save the Miles bashing. It's getting tired and old.)

If fricking Miles can win a BCS title here, imagine what a competant coach could do.
