LSU must've already signaled a big no to Tubby if he's actually considering Arkansas.

Actually, he is just trying to complete a life long fantasy of coaching at every SEC school.

Yeah, i think it was in the contact extension he signed two days ago for 7 years. Keep up buddy or the short bus will pass you up as well.

Big rumor in Ark. Is Tubby spent day in Helena. That his interest in Arky is very high. That Arkansas talking to Tommy Bowden at Auburn and Bobby Johnson (Vandy) to Clemson.

FYI... The flight from Rogers, AR to Auburn, AL then onward to Tunica is a plane owned by Griffin Ag, Inc. based out of Helena. The owner of Griffin Ag is David Griffin. If you check out this article from when Nutt was first hired, you'll see some very interesting information.

LINK

"Nobody offered Tuberville the job outright. But committee members said Broyles did tell Tuberville what kind of money he could expect to earn if he agreed to come through the final interview stage in Fayetteville and if he was hired. The committee never agreed to recommend Tuberville. "When they got split, Tommy said he was pulling out," said David Griffin of West Helena. "If he wasn't needed, then he wasn't interested." Griffin relayed information between Broyles and Tuberville last week and perhaps longer -- "for a while," he said -- that allowed Tuberville to say repeatedly, and truthfully, that he had not talked to anybody from Arkansas until the interview.

Tommy has a good friend in Helena. That is a good possibility.

Tubby was mediocre at Ole Miss because of limited recruiting

I disagree. Taking Ole Miss to a bowl is like winning the NC anywhere else

Yes, and Cutcliff got fired after doing the same. What's your point?

you catch Biddy on dts? he said (paraphrasing) that if Aubbie/Tubbs don't seal the deal by Sat., look for the Arkie connect to gain even further traction. he said this story has legs, fwiw.

sunshine mentioned that Finebaum (who is usually tuned in to what's up in Al.), said Tubbs to Arkie could definently happen.

Biddy also said he "hoped" that if Arkie is really zeroed in on Tubbs, that it needs to get done by Sunday/Monday. 'cuz if the LSU job opens up "all bets are off."

Someone on DTS claims finebaum said that there was a 95% chance that tubbs was headed to Arkansas. I find it hard to believe PF would say that out of the blue.

First, Finescum said he thinks Tubby stays at Auburn. Second, Tubby's not doing a darned thing until his agent feels out LSU. Third, he's working Arkansas for a better contract at Auburn and has told a number of people that he is too old to rebuild another program and is thinking about retirement. Arkansas would be a VERY bad move for him at this point in his life.

maybe he did, but that's not what Schaffer reported on drive-time. he said the opposite. i'll see if anything is archived on his site.

possibly, which may be why Biddy said that "all bets are off" if/when the LSU job opens.

maybe so.

Someone posted earlier TT to arkansas per finebaum. I'll be glad when I can stop tracking planes.
