If we hire Coach O, it proves LSU is mediocre sans Dietzel and Saban

If Orgeron is hired, LSU is nothing more than a state school that might make a decent run to a New Year's Day bowl every once in a while but is more like a Clemson or UCLA historically than any of the major powers sans Paul Dietzel and Nick Saban and his legacy. An Orgeron hire at this point guarantees a drift into mediocrity with no return to elite status on the horizon. Basically, hope for championship seasons will be lost.

Why can't people see that? Because he talks like us? What is wrong with people?

People who are comfortable with O have no vision. They will say he was like Les Miles, yet why was Miles 28-21 at OSU (a historically bad program) and O 10-25 at Ole Miss (also a historically bad program).

I don't understand it. Miles is a way better coach than O and these coming years will prove it.

LSU has always been this. LSU will always be this. I don't know why you fools think LSU is a blue blood program.

It will prove that we are no longer the LSU Tigers. We are the ESPN Tigers. We have forfeited our sovereignty in the new ESPN/SEC reality. I grew up with Casanova and Pistol Pete. It's all glitter and hype, with Bama and Florida controlling the levers of power.

If LSU hires Orgeron it will prove we are Ole Miss or Arkansas with a bigger stadium and more in state talent to mismanage.

That is all.

I will always pull for LSU, but if they make this hire I'm done believing or looking forward to a season. I'll watch as an observer and be happy when we win, but I won't invest any emotional energy into it.

Might as well have kept Miles. Same result.

Most fans really don't know shite TBH. Nothing is wrong with them, there's just more to take into consideration than from how far down the bayou is Coach O.

The Catastrophe Syndrome is strong in this thread.
