If we are going Pro-style offense, then it would make sense

that the new LSU OC would have Pro_style offensive experience on his resume', correct?
I like Billy G, I like his energy, his recruiting etc,,, but he seems to be in a bad position relative to the direction we are recruiting (QB's and big WR) and his background from an experience stand point.
In other words could he teach other coaches how it suppose to run?
Urban ran the spread option read stuff did he not? At Utah and BG?
What are we doing is the question? We actually have enough talent to run whatever offense we want to run...but to win big, I think Pro-style gets it done most years... Tebows and Newtons come once every 15 years.
this hire is huge to the future of LSU football. Les Miles needs a solid General manager of the offense.

I have yet to hear a valid reason why BG would be made OC. I just don't believe it is on Miles radar screen at all.

I think BG needs another couple years to understudy a proven pro-style OC. It is too big a risk to hand him the keys now while we have a legit chance to make a run next year. Hiring someone like Chryst, who has aspirations to become a HC in the next couple of years makes perfect sense to me. Gives BG another couple of years to work and learn in a different offense, while allowing Chryst the opportunity to showcase what he can do with an elite SEC program. Chryst moves on to a good HC gig and then make BG the OC.
