Charlie Strong DC at Fla. would be the man!
Florida's stats since he has been DC have been
incredible.

Voted by other coaches one of the top recruiters in the nation. AU should have hired this guy.

Dozens of ADs have passed on Charlie each year for the last 5 or so. My guess; you wouldn't be an AD for very long.

Why have they passed on him? He's preformed very well as DC and is a great recruiter.

I have said it before but some people are career assistants for a reason. Maybe he can't really express the vision a HC needs to express during an interview that will convince the AD that this is their guy. Others say it is because he is a black guy with a white wife. You pick.

I think he would make a great coach.
One day he will get his chance and watch out.

One can only hope this would not be the reason. If it is then there is still a long way to go in America until people are not ignorant any longer. Strong and Gill should already be head coaches somewhere that is a good job where they can showcase their abilities, but they may never get their chance because unfortunately this country still has a major race issue to deal with. This crap happens when you are raised in ignorant, racist families. One racist and bigot raises another and it becomes a generational thing. Strong is a hell of a good football coach hope he gets his chance someday because I think he will do incredibly well.

Jason I agree with you on Strong being a great coach. Why would MSU hire the offensive c. from fla when everyone Knows he's just a figurehead
Meyer runs that O.

You win with defense and recruiting.

Yea, that's why I go with the fact that some assistants are career assistants for a reason. Have you personally witnessed any of his interviews for HC positions?

as I have said before,
I would definitely interview this guy....
specially if I needed the special attention in the SECONDARY and LINEBACKERS.

***I MADE AN ASSUMPTION THAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT DC COACHING POSITION.

if for an HC..
I would look for a leader with expertise in the area most important..either Off or Deff.AND the style needed.
..then have him bring in the corresponding talent.
