No you want the retard who failed miserably as an actual SEC HC

I'm happy with jimbo or Herman but this is really a dumb argument against O. He even admits today that he wasn't ready back then for an SEC HC job. Here's a little bit of info for you. People learn and mature and grow in their professional career over the years.

LSU beat Florida up and down the field. It was a nearly impossible combination of player mistakes and bad breaks that allowed UF to even be in that game. I still shake my head at all the things that had to go wrong for LSU to lose that game. I don't really blame O much for that one. It was just the insanity that football can be sometimes.

His mishandling of LF and Guice after the fumble in the UF game killed momentum and hurt our chances to win. It was complete amateur hour. You can't look past how bad that was.

The Bama and UF games showed that he isn't ready to make the calls in games that matter. That is just truth.

S M U ....it happened.

If you like Herman more that's fine. Just say it that way. But if you want to compare losses, it isn't even close.

Yep and give us the guy losing 3 games in the ACC. Or the guy losing to navy and SMU.

Irony? I want Herman as coach. I just think, actually I know, that all of you O bashers are classless, uneducated, and ignorant losers. No other way to put it. I don't want O, but I respect the job he did.

You can intelligently respect the job he did in a battlefield promotion and still not want him to get the head coaching position here. I kept an open mind until the UF game, but the personnel decisions were just too poor. A strong HC has to have the balls to tell a guy to sit when it's in his interest and the interest of the team. He has to know to not bench a guy for one mistake when he is a key to the early offensive success. Make Guice run every fricking step in Tiger Stadium on Monday, but put him right back in and keep the offensive momentum from the first two drives going. That doghouse move was a Les Miles special if I ever saw one, and he cost us games with that shite, too.

O is light years better than during his head coaching stint at Ole Miss. I live in North MS and saw that fiasco up close. But he still isn't cut out for an SEC job. He needs to take a smaller job and hone his skills a little more to prove he is ready for the SEC spotlight. In a small sample size, the mistakes are magnified. The ones he made tell a lot of us he isn't ready to lead this program.

Saying that doesn't mean we all hate him or aren't greatful that he came in and kept the ship from completely sinking this year. It isn't a binary choice.

Check my post history. I've been fine with Jimbo or Herman all along, but that loss stands out to me. I live in the Memphis area and follow them, as well. They laid 51 on SMU in Dallas 2 weeks after Houston managed 16 on them. USF did the same a week later. I have made no bones about the fact that it was a very bad loss to a terrible team.

Houston's 2 losses put Herman a little behind Jimbo for me, along with his longer track record. However, Herman has things going for him that O doesn't. He was part of a beatdown handed to Saban's defense at OSU. Even more impressive is that Saban sought him out for advise on improving Bama's offense after that. To me, that offsets the bad losses in a way that O can't hope to match with his track record.

Let's compare wins. Who is the best team that Coach O has beat this year? Any team better than Oklahoma? Louisville?

Pulling a guy who is healthy and just broke the LSU single game rushing record to take a guy who we all love and adore, but was playing at 65% at best, and run him into the fricking middle for 4 drives or so was pure fricking genius, right?

I don't need to hurl insults at you, because I'm right. Guice stays in, we don't need a last second play from the one to salvage a bad game. We are up 2 scores at half and win going away late in the 3rd.
