Somewhat of a silver lining - he's not married to any single philosophy. So, he can pick and choose, to a degree, that he's scheme agnostic. And he is a smart, hardworking guy.

I'm just not convinced he can carry the load of installing an entire offense at this time, and develop QBs, even with someone of Sullivan's experience to help him.

Of course, I don't know how much he has kept up with offensive philosophy with his current job.

Having said that, I hope like hell they surprise me.

As many SEC wins in his first season at Ole Miss than 0 had in his entire stint there.

he was an interim coach. We don't like giving Orgeron any credit for wins he had at USC or LSU as interim, so we can't credit Luke for those either. If our fans say no one else other than LSU would have hired Orgeron as HC, which is true, the same can be said about Luke. No one but Ole Miss would have even considered hiring him, and the only reason they did was because they're on probation.

And oddly enough, Luke was on Orgeron's staff at Ole Miss. As a matter of fact, Luke hasn't had a coaching job that wasn't, in some way, tied to Ole Miss since his first job at Murray State. Was hired by Cutcliffe at Ole Miss, retained by Orgeron, hired by Fulmer to work under Cutcliffe at UT, then followed Cutcliffe to Duke, then returned to Ole Miss when Freeze was hired. Luke never had play-calling responsibilities at Ole Miss until this year, but he shared those responsibilities with co-OC Werner and Freeze until Freeze was fired.

Honestly, sounds a lot like Ed O's buddy Ensminger
