this whole recruiting thing is the most telling thing IMO. if he hasnt been contacting 09 recruits then he probably has no future investment in the program, and les if you arent going to be here have someone, anyone recruit for us now then please.

He was on campus day after the Arkansas game with a recruit so thats BS. Guy called into the Songy show and said he was there picking up something or other and saw him
with what appeared to be a recruit and his family showing them around campus.

you're correct. extremely bad situation right now. if anything we're taking backward steps in recruiting right now. the worst part is that all of our "big name" targets are the ones that are left for this year.

well they did have officials on the Arky w/e. im talking about not contact julio jones. not offering michael ford yet and now the kid i going to listen to bama's pitch and rueben randle is cooling off apparently also becasue of the lack of contact

pitbull, i wouldnt say that a guy that called buddy and saw what appeared to be him showing a recruit around is exactly concrete evidence.

no, but it as good as any evidence he isnt recruiting. I mean you guys just jump on the possibility of a negative and run with it. Just because they may have seen the fact that they had NO chance with JJ and decided to spend efforts elsewhere does not mean they are not recruiting at all. get what I am saying?

JJ is the best player in the country, you dont stop recruiting him unless he absolutely says there is no way he will attend LSU

he is a WR and has said multiple times he wants to go to a school where he will be the top gun, that is not gonna happen here... but you knows that a ton of stuff happens between recruits and schools we never hear about. It could have been something he did that turned the coaches off.. who knows.

pit i am not trying to flame you at all. but when paysites(whos name shall not be mentioned) say that recruiting is dead for LSu right now, i tend to believe it. especially considering that recruiting news is how they make their money.

recruiting should never slack up, even in the "dead period". we have a hell of a La class in 09 and they need to be locked down and locked down quick

I very rarely believe anything those guys say, they are routinley proven wrong, I can see why you would think that, I just do not put much into it.
the team has the SECCG coming up and yeah they should spend some time on recruits, but these guys that think they know everything rarely do.

yeah I get that, I just think there is more to it than just the fact that LSU has not contacted them... LSU has a ton of crap going on right now.
My cousin was recruited heavily by D1 schools and when it got down to this time of year they all slacked off due to focus on the big games and bowl games.. he was contacted but not near as much.
