I think this quote at the bottom sums it up:

Are you people high?! How is it that anyone would possibly want to leave an established top 15 team from a BCS power conference for the Huskies?... Posted on November 24, 2008 at 8:53 PM by CalifornicatorOaktown

and it is located in a major city that has good schools (if the coach has kids).
I think Les can afford the tuition for the private schools

First of all, I think the only place Miles leaves LSU for is Michigan. I don't think it is that bad of job though. You still go to a BCS conference. The PAC-10 has one team that is consistently good every year which is USC, unlike the SEC that has at least 4-5 teams ranked. The conference is not as tough as the SEC so it would be easier to win the conference or win 9-10 games a year. Plus the schools are probably better. If they were willing to pay the money, it would not be a bad job. After Willingham, the only place to go is up. I am not saying he would take the job. I am just saying that I don't think it is a bad job. Of course, I have never seen the facilities (or even been to Seattle). I do know that Mark Emmert is there and he did a good job at LSU.
