How bad would it be

If Saban not only came back, he took the recruits, and knows everything about Alabama football that LSU needs to know over, oh,
say the next 2-3 years?
Personally I'd rather Spurrier, but if Saban returns, in the process he'll prove to everyone that 1) LSU is the better job and that 2) Alabama,
because of their never ending Notre Dame-type delusions will struggle to EVER get a big name coach to go there from now until eternity.
Might be the end of Bama football even as Bama knows it.
Oh wait, that happened thirty years ago.

Without a doubt it would bury the program for along time. The only thing that might save the program from a blow like that would be Sylvester Croom coming home to BAMA.

It wouldn't save you, but he'd be the first real beginning of the future for Alabama.
