Ed Orgeron is a great motivator, encourager, and recruiter. When you hire someone to lead that is "fired up" as opposed to "steady", you come out flat like LSU did Saturday because that level of energy is impossible to maintain game after game when you aren't used to it. You end up in fights... your team leader ends up shoving other coaches. No one can maintain that level of excitement especially 19-22 year old kids. When you aren't used to that level of energy, you fizzle out and play like LSU did Saturday. The new car smell wore off and the team quit. And that goal line stand was on the Coach.

Saban is steady and never looks sad and suicidal nor does he look like he will rip his shirt off while motivating the kids. (I'm not talking about him being pissed and screaming on the field or at reporters) There is just a steady consistency that he and Belichick have that wins and makes them great as opposed to Coach O and say, Mike Singletary. The fire just doesn't last.
