Here's a question

Say Urban Meyer was to jump to the NFL this year. Would Florida welcome back Spurrier. It would be the same as Saban coming back to LSU. Both left for the Pro's. Both didn't fit there. Both came back to a competing conference team. What do you think.

quote:Spurrier is not going back to Florida. He was the first choice before Meyer, but wanted to be 'offered' the job, not 'interview' for it. His ego is too big, he's not going back to Florida.
Would Florida welcome back Spurrier.

But if he did, would Florida welcome him back?

Yes, they would.
But while there are similarities in the two hypothetical situations, there are differences as well. Those differences largely relate to how the situation was handled by the coach and by the level of competitor which the coach returned to.
