You are correct. Something has to give though. I think Ole Miss will blink first. I think they’ll get rid of Lane thinking they’ll lose him anyway. Once the season is over Lane walks and he only has to pay out 3 million or so. Ole Miss has to find a new coach. It’ll be interesting to watch it play out. Lane has a lot of leverage because the drop off from him to coaches like Sumrall is a cliff.
