Chan Gailey got fired several days ago, but no word on a replacement. Anyone hear anything on the leading candidates?
Looks like the coaching vacancies will be filled up Sunday or Monday because nobody is introducing new coaches right now.

I hear about GT everyday.
It's the usual suspects. Tenuta, Fisher, Mushcamp (Jimbo and Will obviously b/c of the LSU ties with Radakovich

He was mentioned also.
A few other names have been thrown out on the radio but nothing with any relevance.
They even mentioned Charlie Strong today.

At first they thought he would just get a courtesty interview, but now they say he will be seriously considered. At least that's their hope.
Word was he wasn't a great interview and they didn't even know if he wanted a HC gig or if he was content as DC, but they interviewed him on the radio the other day and said he would like to pursue a HC gig.
I think they're waiting till after the bowls to see what he does as head man. Just my opinion though.
