All of this is bull shite speculation. ANY COACH CAN CHANGE TO MATCH PLAYERS - ESPECIALLY SMART ONES.

You dumbasses need to go rewatch the CUSA Championship game where if fricked Sumlin's sorry arse coaching. How did they win? DEFENSE!
You guys are freaking idiots.

Tell me why you would give the LSU HC job to someone who has never been a HC on any level. Running a great defense is not the same as running the entire program.

OK...so we had a coach that survived for 11 years without any expertise in gameplanning, clock management, x's and o's, etc, etc, etc... but he recruited well (which let's face it LSU could recruit in it's sleep as long as their winning 8 games a year) and hired good assistants (which is even debatable, ie, crowton, BDP debacle, Cameron)?

It's much easier to be a great football coach and learn the other parts of the business than vice versa. If what you're saying is true we should just go out and hire Jimmy Bernhard since he's good at running a company?

That is not a all what I am saying. But LSU should never be the learning ground for a virgin head coach.

Spoken like someone who knows nothing about recruiting. The last head coach at LSU that thought that never got another HC job-- and proved that failure to recruit means no 8 win seasons for many years. We should learn history, or we will be doomed to repeat it.
