"3 jobs good for 20 years of contracts signed in less than 2 years."

"He's a serial wanderer"

"I wouldn't let my son shake his hand, let alone go to school and play under his program"

This guy apparently had a MUCH worse rep than I believed.

ESPN radio read Arthur Blank's comments about how it all went down. Reflects very badly upon Petrino. Looks like Skip's gut feeling in 2004 was correct.

Blank said Monday night after the Saints game Petrino shoke his hand and told him you have a head coach.

Its not what ESPN is doing to Petrino or did to Saban last year, it is how those guys handled the situations. Having your character questioned by ESPN in this situation is fair.

yeah Petrino is a mercenary, but it's hard for me to feel sorry for Arthur Blank. He took Petrino from Louisville after he signed that 10 year contract and he fired Dan Reeves in a pretty classless way...now he's getting a dose of his own medicine.

Razorback fans are going to get a couple, maybe 3 decent to good years out of him and then he'll leave. As long as they don't buy into the shite he's selling....

If he was hired here I would be very disappointed and ashamed, but I'd support him. I wouldn't like him but I'd support him, that's what they have to do as well.

Didnt hurt Spurrier or Saban, so doubt it hurts Petrino.

exactly, this is the same stuff they were saying about Saban last year. How he wouldn't be able to recruit because none of the recruits would trust him. Well, Saban is wrapping up a top 3 class this year, so what do those guys know? Petrino won't recruit to Saban's level, but this crap about kids not trusting him is laughable.

Agreed.
If/When Michigan hires a coach, there are a few ESPN reporters that owe Les an apology.

What was classless about it? He had a meeting with Dan Reeves and told him that he would not be retained as coach the next season. Reeves requested to be released immediately instead of finishing out the season.

Firing someone or getting fired is never fun.

when will there be an alternative to ESPN, choices would be nice

5 things i hate about the ESPN

1.NFL coverage..i will not watch anything NFL on espn

2.Headline stories- i.e. barry bonds, mike vick- they spend 4.5 days breaking down a certain headline and never talk about anything else.

3.College football analyst- need a team that compliment each other, not so much at the moment

4. Persuit of perfection- i just wish they would lose so i dont have to hear it or see it anymore

5. Regional Bias- the Northeast is king of sports, which may be true, but there is deff. favortism on the network

Hell this looks worse than Saban. All Saban did was make his denial too explicit. At least he waited until the season was over.
