Elite players make some coaches look really good and some coaches make players look good

Joe Brady is the best example of elite players making an assistant coach look very good. Not that Brady is not good, it’s just that without elite talent at Carolina, Brady could not find any success.

Then look at Aranda, he is a great example of a coach making his players at Baylor look elite. At LSU his defenses were really good except when injuries took their toll. Where does Corey Raymond fall? We’ve seen Corey Raymond’s DB’s at LSU look elite one year and we’ve seen them look very average the next.

I’ll say this about Brian Kelly, he’s has been around much longer than Raymond has, and he’s seen a lot, he knows exactly what he’s looking for, and Raymond wasn’t it!
