Defensive Coordinator

I like the idea of Chavis, Tenuta, Koenning....
But the thing is, I don't think we have to have the perfect pick. I think with our talent, if we just eliminate the co-coordinator scheme, and have a single, competent defensive coordinator, we're going to be fine.

I know there are many here who know it all and thinks the cure lies in spending the big bucks, but looking at a DC open minded, I would like to throw a name I am really liking more and more.
His kids play hard, smart and aggressive....resembling the coach's attitude. He is high energy, and like Muschamp on the side lines, lots of enthusiasm and involvement.
He has been able to achieve some pretty good victories WITHOUT real talent, and he is young.

I agree that as long as we get a competent single coordinator everything will be fine, but this needs to be resolved soon cause it will lead to recruits having second thoughts if Miles does not make a decision soon and set the record straight.

It may have already been resolved...?????
do not expect any announcements until after the Bowl Game..it would surprise me.
It is one things for kids to play hard for an outgoing DC that they like and want a good send-off for, it is another to play for a lame-duck DC that they may not like as much.
I would never make that announcement now:
a)the other DC may be in a bowl game also
b)the last thing we need is a distraction in D
c)making the kids think that these may still be their bosses next year will get them to play harder than if in a lame-duck situation.
