How good is Tyler Russell at running the ball? I know he can pass it.

I think he's pretty good. Made some nice plays this year runnin for his life. Don't think he would be alive by season's end running like Tebow though.

He is 6'5" and 215 and decent quickness. Not the brute type guy of a Tebow but he looked pretty agile in the 5A Championship game Friday night - which Meridian won stopping an 89 game win streak by South Panola.

Yeah, i watched him in the title game. Very good QB. Good arm, and he runs the spread offense in high school which is a plus. Mullen would just have to tool it around him until he got himself a runnin QB.

I agree, I not real sure he had to run for his life all year like my previous post sounded but he looked like he ran good Friday night when he had to.

The kid is a gamer/competitor. I enjoyed that game thoroughly. Hope he still decides to go to State whatever happens with the search.
