Criteria For A New Coach

One thing that scares me if we need to hire a new coach is the mention of the Rodriguezes and Petrinos of the world. I just wouldn't care to see LSU turned into an offensive circus. One, where no defense is played and the object of the game is to just out score the other guy.......75-68. Last man with the ball wins. That's just not LSU or SEC football.
This probably isn't possible but if you hired one of these guys you'd like to see the AD put in his contract that he has to hire a first-class DC.
Call me old-fashioned but I just love the great D.

I think we need this more than anything else.
Somehow, we need to get rid of the feeling that LSU is a good talent-rich area where you can come and make a name for yourself and then go on to some "better" venue.
I would like to see something really airtight in the contract that says only LSU can make the decision to change coaches during the first ten year. If you just quit, you have to pay back the salary we have paid you. I know that's impossible, but we need something like that.

We need a guy that can recruit and deal with the media and fanbase. I say no Pro guy. That's a different ballgame.
