Thanks.

Strong emphasis on QB development in the announcement.

That suggests to me something about how Miles saw the the major problem with Crowton and the QB's.

I like the guy. Not the greatest but not the worst. I think he's solid. He has experience as HC,OC, WR, and QB coaching. I like the prostyle set he uses. But most importantly will be what he brings to the table as a QB coach.

I wonder if it occurred to anyone that maybe Miles didnt go for the sexiest pick because he wanted his OC to hang around for a few yrs instead of jumping ship to another school as OC or HC.

I wonder if that had any role to play.

would hope Miles is smarter than to let that prevent him hiring a more qualified/deserving candidate

Alright let's see what you can do with JJ and JL for a year. If you fix JJ in a year I'll be a believer.

I agree. And I think he is. I think he honestly believes Krags is the best candidate. Whether that proves to be true or not, we'll have to wait to find out.

I like Les' choice. Krag is very experienced, has developed some good QBs and run some awesome offenses. In his case, sometimes you can learn more from your mistakes than your successes. I'm hoping he will be a better match with Les than Crowton. I'm guessing there was some kind of disconnect between Les' and Crowton's offensive philosophy.

That's kind of the way I look at it- while Fuente would be the 'hot' up & coming choice, I think the experience factor & QB coaching ability was more important to Miles. All I know is that I think Kragthorpe will help; we have nowhere to go but up....
