It’s possible that he prefers the NFL, but there also weren’t that many DC jobs out there this off-season and he stayed at UT until they decided to bring in someone else. I can certainly understand him wanting to wait snd not walk away from a big job like that if he was still in the running.
He did interview with UF about their Safety coach position so we can’t be certain he’s all in on the NFL right now more than just looking for an open gig in a slow job market.
