A better version of Ensminger isn't exactly horrible. The main issue I have with him is that, after two weeks of prep, when Bama shut down option 1, there wasn't an option 2 until desperation time. The likelihood of option 2 working doesn't matter. There still should have been one.

If you look at Pitt's 2 biggest games of the year, Canada seemed pretty well prepared and had a gameplan that worked. That along with this year's numbers puts him above good ole Steve.

That said, there are red flags with Canada, just like with all of the other guys we are looking at. None of them are without flaws. Briles is radioactive. Sterlin Gilbert's play calling got figured out down the stretch of the season. Helfrich just got fired and has limited time calling plays in-game compared to how long he has coached. He also runs a system that will take time for us to recruit and convert over to. Canada got fired a year ago and has had some very ordinary passing offenses in the past. This is the deal.

Well stated. I'm just going to be sick if we've gone through all of this and still can't throw the football.

When he had Jacoby brissett did he run more designed qb runs ??

Not from what I've seen. Brissette is 6'5 pocket passer. He did scramble a good bit

Canada has had 3 QBs to throw for over 3,000 yds. since 2008. One that threw for 2,900 yds. He has had a QB to throw for 3,000 yds passing and run for 700 yds. His last 3 QBs have thrown for 2,600 yds and 20+ TDs. He has had 1,800 yd and 20+ TDs rushers.

We will be fine.....relax people.
