No matter what, it won't be long until the cajun Ditka becomes jealous of the mixed buddy Ryan

Alleva acted like a little bitch with Herman so i am not shocked Herman wants to hurt LSU now
It was said we were acting like "pussies" about this hire. The biggest "pussy" was Joe Alleva getting upset some guy wanted to negotiate the best deal he could get. What a baby.

I'm willing to bet, stopping short of guarantee, that Alleva interviewed the staff about CEO.
If CEO is indeed named, this is the opposite of what will happen. The strength of this entire staff is in the assistants and their ability to recruit. That takes years to replace, unlike a singular head coach.
That is the one outcome that can not happen, and LSU can prevent all by it's lonesome. So those assistants opinions on CEO have been factored in.

I think that Aranda's buy out would be $1.275m. Is Texas paying that in addition to a competitive salary?

When an AD's list is maybe 3 candidates long with Coach O actually being on said list I have a hard time believing Alleva did much of anything but play one card solitaire on his office computer the last 2 months.

Their D is a focus of a lot of the bad blood right now.

They can. But I don't think it's a given that it is something that they are willing to do. If it is something that they are obviously willing to do then why don't they already have the by far highest paid staff in the country for every position? There have always been hotshot staff for them to hire.

I personally don't think so. I think Aranda is looking at what he did in year 1 here and what he can do further, with what's in place vs. some real personnel problems on the UTx side and would choose no. Just an opinion, no link.
And do have to consider that UTx have thought they were doing similar in the past, but in reality were not. They celebrated the hiring and 'LSU letting one of their best coaches next to Chavis get away'. It wasn't what they thought it was. Of course there was no big payday and buyout there either.
