Yes but, while I don't know him, I recognize his handle and he's never been one to try to be "the source" nor has he been overly reactionary to anything. Hence, I hope he can give us a little more color on why he seems so convinced
Nah, I know man. Just messing around.
There have been several other posters with "sources" today, so I was kind of referring to that.
Will be interesting if Charles elaborates any on where his info is coming from.

Indeed. That's why I want to see if Charles can give more color on his source or why we should believe him. For the record, Charles, I'm not calling you out. I genuinely just want to know and understand if you cannot go further.

Everyone at LSU is being played. It's obvious.
After you obtain your GED from whatever alternative school you attend... hopefully you will get a good job, marry a good woman, and have a family. At some point, you may be faced with a decision, "do I uproot my fantastic life here in hopes that I can return to the source of my 'good ole days'?" -- I can tell you, it is NOT an easy process. It is NOT a quick process.
No matter how inconvenienced your precious life has become because of Les Miles really deliberating his option -- dude, deal with it.
Or, you could just go to Alabama and be a Saban fan, seeing how he jumps ship on a whim.

i understand the frustration with all the "sources", but I believe him and he has direct connections with not only LSU administration heads but college bowl executives and all those in between. he didn't flinch when I texted him the question.
It was simple "he's gone".
Hey, look at it this way, Miles was gone last time, but the early leak forced his hand to stay. So, who the frick knows until the ink dries, but I really do think it's a done deal.
I am not looking for any internet juice, rather just throwing something out there like everybody else.

"He's gone" could be an opinion rather than fact.

Fair enough. Thanks. For the record, I hope your source is wrong. But appreciate the info.

Based on circumstantial evidence, I have to believe that Miles has coached his last game as the LSU head coach.
In fact, I would be willing to bet that he probably agreed to it some time ago and I don't mean days but months ago.
Dave Brandon and Les Miles played at Michigan together. I also read were they went on a 10-day vacation together this past summer. If this is the case, don't you think the potential job opening in Michigan was discussed? Everyone knew that Rodriquez would be fired after this season and Miles was reported to be on the hot seat. It just makes sense the two would have discussed the possibility of Miles working with his old teammate.
Miles has said that coaching at Michigan is his dream job. Miles had to have been taken aback by the letter that Aleva wrote about the last couple of seasons not being good enough. Then the Tennessee game happened, and I think that Miles really took it personally the criticism he was receiving from his own fans. Miles realized that he would never be accepted entirely by the LSU fanbase.
There has been no talk coming out of Dave Brandon's office. No one in Michigan knows a thing. There have only been 3 names even mentioned (I don't count the Gruden story) for the position: Harbaugh, Miles, and Hoke. I don't think Hoke was ever a serious consideration, but people figured a backup was necessary if Harbaugh or Miles wouldn't agree to be the next Michigan coach. I think Harbaugh was just a smokescreen as most knew he was heading to the NFL.
That leaves Miles. I think that Brandon has known for a long time that Miles would be his next coach and that is why he could afford to wait until January 1 to fire Rich Rod. He knew that he was going to fire Rich Rod well before their bowl game. By waiting he supposedly saved Michigan $1.5 million, but at the expense of losing a month of searching for his next head coach. That month of searching would have been worth $1.5 million if he already didn't have his man. especially if Michigan is going to pay $5-6 million dollars for its next head coach.
I do not believe Miles is playing Michigan to get a better deal at LSU but rather the other way around. I think that he misled his team after the Cotton Bowl and has misled the media regarding not talking to Michigan.
I strongly believe that Michigan has found their next coach. Now who will be LSU's?

Nah, he'll be watching his Dad coach at Michigan. Choctaw is Les Miles' son.

Agreed...
a few years ago, someone said that Miles is a big time businessman when it comes to this stuff.
