What a fall he’s had over the past decade. Should have never left WVU.
However, someone said it best in the other thread about how he perfected and ran the spread option before anyone in college football was ready for it, which is why he reached the heights he did at WVU. He either didn’t or wasn’t able to adjust as guys like Meyer and Kelly did when it became more prevalent and coaches adjusted their defensive schemes accordingly.
I actually thought he had Michigan going in the right direction when he was fired and that he could have made some noise in the old Big Ten with a speed-based offense against the slower defenses if they’d have given him another year.

That doesn't mean anything if it never happened during his time at Arizona. That's NOT why he was fired. As stated in the letter, none of the accusations were substantiated.

-RRod has an affair
-his asst finds out
-she gets fired
-blackmails RRod
-He refuses to pay
-she files bogus sexual harassment suit
-she refuses to provide concrete proof
-U of A settles out of court with her
-RRod gets canned
How can she possibly blackmail Rich Rod if he had already told his family and had already been working through it with his wife?
They would pay a woman who was lying about sexual harassment in the workplace? Arizona themselves said the claims were unsubstantiated.
Also, if Rich Rod blackmailed her...that would be ILLEGAL. I have not heard of any blackmailing. Sounds like someone is looking for a reason to hang Rich Rod.
Again, UNSUBSTANTIATED. Nothing in the letter Arizona sent out described anything about blackmail.

Former Arizona football coach Rich Rodriguez serially harassed his assistant, including grabbing his penis in front of her, trying to kiss her, telling her “I love you” in a text message, and making her cover for his extramarital affair,

Filing a notice of claim is an early step in the process of suing a public university in Arizona.
quote:
ccording to the claim, the plaintiff felt comfortable working for Rodriguez for the first two years, until, in 2013, she says he created something called “The Hideaway Book,” which established what she says were a ghost set of procedures for coaches and a few members of the football operations staff. “The Hideaway Book” attempted to help Rodriguez conceal his infidelity from his wife, according to his former assistant, and that the document contained the line: “Title IX doesn’t exist in our office.”
quote:
or the next three years, Rodriguez’s assistant says she was was put in situations where she was to lie to his wife and shield him from her learning of his infidelity, she says. In November 2015, she says she had to act as a buffer between Rodriguez’s wife and girlfriend
quote:
On the woman’s last day with the university on Aug. 11, 2017, she says Rodriguez’s wife came to the office and began demanding information from the assistant about Rodriguez’s girlfriend. It was then, she says, she “admitted she knew about the girlfriend and apologized for not telling her sooner.”
The claim closes by asking to settle “all claims they may have against Richard A. Rodriguez, his wife, and their martial community for $7,500,000.
