and Stanley wouldn't hire him.

I honestly think that Stanley has little say in this matter. NS is very tight with some very powerful people in the LSU family, namely Charlie Weems, just to name one.

I just can see how his management/coaching style can wear on players.

Make no mistake, he is thorough. Very much so. I think he really takes into account character and intelligence when he recruits. He knows what he is looking for. That doesn't mean every single recruit he picks up is going to be a golden child. He will take chances on some. And some of his recruits will not hack it, for whatever reason. He will have some attrition.

I think at Bama, once he gets his recruits in there that are programmed from day one the way he wants them programmed, he'll have better success.

I can see how Shula's players wouldn't respond to his motivational tactics.

Saban is pretty much miserable wherever he goes.

I will say one thing about the guy that I think everyone will agree on. He is a tireless worker and recruiter. I tracked the UA plane yesterday and he was in Mobile with Julio from about 1:45 until about 7;00 and then he left going to anniston to see another recruit until after 9 pm. He is a worker for sure and if he stays here he will build a great program, it is just going to take about three more years and I am not sure the BAMA people will give him enough time.

Regardless of how long he stays at Bama, you will benefit from the players he is currently bringing in. You can take that to the bank.

He'll recruit alot of good leaders and winners, or at least he did at LSU.

Once he gets them programmed and trained the way he wants them, and if they buy into his teachings, they'll get better.

But, I hope you don't for obvious reasons.

I think he will come back to LSU if offered the job. I have said that from the beggining and I am sticking to it. I feel pretty sure that he is miserable in Tuscaloosa.

After watching a few of his press conferences, I agree with this.

Can't comment for everyone here, but I would take him back in a second. Say what you will about his exit from Miami, but you cannot argue that the reason his return to the SEC pissed off all Tiger fans is because we know he's good.
