I remember a poster saying Woodward had basically got lucky getting a few of the hires he had gotten in previous stops due to circumstances within each respective school.
Well the CFP rankings just created more circumstances for Riley and Fickell..
In Fickells stance if he reallly and truly wants to win a national title this should be an eye opener for him. Unless he is content staying where he is until Cincy joins big 12 and/ or playoff expands to 12 teams
Riley…. That ranking should have been a slap in the face to them. Come to SEC now and get a jump.

It actually made it worse for Woodward.
Now the affected coaches are telling agents saying to give them more time, to see how the rankings shake out. Woodward has decided to quit waiting.

I dont believe it. This is a legacy hire for him. Why would he all of sudden rush if his #1 guy is mid season and in the hunt.
His whole premise for keeping O around was to preserve the class, so why rush. He has time.

a) If he had time, Orgeron would not be fired yet.
b) SW is not getting played just to get top coaches raises.
