“You’ll definitely have a better sense of where we’re going if you’re a diehard comic book fan because there are always certain hints that pop out to you more if you’ve read the comics, but as the comic fans know there’s never any kind of clear indication of how we’re going to adapt a story. So even if we are moving into a storyline that’s very recognizable from the comics, we could be doing it in a completely different way,” Kirkman explained. “Gareth is definitely not another Governor, he’s a far different character with a far different path that we’re going to be going down. I will say that he is a version of a comic book character, as Scott Gimple says he’s a remix of something we did in the comics, so there are elements of the comics that will be brought into the show through Gareth in a different way. I would expect a lot more out of that character when we come back.”
Asked about the whereabouts of Beth, he was coy, suggesting that she might not even pop up again next season, but promising that there’s more story to tell with that character.
“She got taken, she’s not back yet,” Kirkman said. “I can say that Terminus has a lot of signs out there and it’s certainly possible that all kinds of different people out there could make their way to Terminus in some way, so maybe Beth shows up to Terminus in Season 5… maybe not. I think I can say that Beth’s story is not over. We’ll see her again, maybe in Season 5, maybe not.”
Regarding the other major missing piece from Terminus — Tyreese, Carol and Rick’s daughter Judith — Kirkman said, “They’re definitely still out there. I’m hoping that that’s something people notice. People have reunited in that train car at the end, but Tyreese, Carol and Judith are still out there. I think we’re gonna go in a pretty unexpected direction with that one.”
The Walking Dead returns on AMC in October.

I have never posted I just like to go read the threads and others ideas of what might or might not happen. This way I don't have to pay $$$$ to read the comics and it adds excitement to the show.

You can read them for free on YouTube.

Next season I'm going to boycott the show threads. If readers stop posting in those threads they will die off quickly.

We are the only ones that spur discussion, hell Gaetti starts them.
Posted on 3/31/14 at 10:50 am to imjustafatkid
That's just it I don't want to read them so if there is something that correlates to the show then I will not know but I may have to start just so I know I'm not unintentually posting spoilers.

Didn't negan have 6 wife's if and I mean if someone could see this as a spoiler with you connecting gareath with him. I know it's a stretch but anything to get you banned if they could.

Polygamy isn't exclusive to Negan.

True but you know how the non readers are just saying.

Here, y'all can enjoy this because the episode thread isn't going to answer it because it makes perfect sense and has no spoilers.
So we've got two sides. One that this Terminus group are cannibals. And this is where the majority is, because of evidence in the show. (The snare trap parallel. Caging the "livestock" and not killing them. The entrails. The whole episode being focused around food, but either growing it or trapping it. And at one point trapping and raising it.)
Then we have the side that says, it's too easy that they're cannibals, and of course this quote from TigerinATL in a post that seems to be used as the main argument for not cannibals.
Question is, if not cannibals, then what?
Before answering, remember this: The people of Terminus have apparently been fricked before. That's why they say "Us always first" or whatever it was of that nature. This is also this quote: Alex said that "the more people become part of us, we get stronger."
If slave labor, where are the slaves and what are they working on? I didn't see any fields or livestock (which could mean Terminus is a big place so that could be given).
Extremely desperate is the name of the game. The Governor was extremely desperate, he brought a fricking tank to tare down the house that he WANTED. Shane was desperate, he wanted to kill his best friend and take everything he had and would have killed more people if needed (see Otis). Now, what did they have in common? They lived the "normal life." They had jobs, a house and people that cared for them. Their survival in day to day life came from going to the supermarket and picking up what was on the list. In a zombie filled frick show of a world, they have to find new ways of survival. Sort of like the people of Terminus. They're desperate.
Now look at people like Joe and the Marauders. What did Joe tell Daryl? He didn't see the world as going to shite. He saw it as finally leveling out. Becoming what it's suppose to be. He's not desperate. He's comfortable.
And you're right they are still in America. Killing children is looked down on as well, but they did it when they could have easily locked Lizzy up in the house and left. And don't forget the Terminus folks treated to kill Carl.

quote:
All the signs are there except for the fact that it doesn't make sense. This still America where everyone would be disgusted at the thought of cannibalism unless extremely desperate, they are in a large fenced in facility with some amount of electricity, the ability to grow food and a decent amount of human labor. If that's the direction they're going I'll suspend my disbelief, but it just seems like it'd be a hard sell for people capable of producing their own food. Slave labor would seem the more logical way to go than cannibalism. Where do all of the people of Terminus go? Are they in the rec room watching TV? Again, canniballism seems like a bit of a stretch given their capabilities which means it will probably require a bit more explanation than one episode of "we're cannibals and you're dinner".

I don't think this group is with Negan. If so they are skipping waaaaaaaaay ahead in the timeline if the comics. Maybe they would switch things around to throw people off but I don't think so.

I can't argue against your point. It is funny how they refuse to accept logic though.

That's my point. Without us the show threads are garbage. Give them what they want because they don't really want it.

I pretty much roll my eyes at people that are so sensitive to anything related to the comic.
There was nothing given away that was similar to a traditional spoiler.

I've already been PM'd about spoilers so no I'm not gonna say you go liberty
Posted on 3/31/14 at 11:40 am to bulldog95
I don't really think Liberty has done anything wrong...he has spoiled things in the past, but not this go around
Posted on 3/31/14 at 11:43 am to gaetti15
Liberty...you are okay in my book.
I don't have a problem with what you said, although, I do see Coco's point.
It would be best if we readers would just stay out all together.
