It gets lost in the noise of all the Jack Ryan books, but it is its own thing, entirely and discreetly. It is one of the finest mass market fiction books of all time.

I think I started reading it on a Friday and finished by Sunday evening in undergrad.


I *think* it was for RSR but there was a point the FBI came knocking because he was so spot on in depictions of what should be highly classfied elements. Ultimately was able to show how he could deduce it using logic and what was in the public domain.

Not bad for an insurance salesman.
