Has anyone read this? I just finished it and being from the parish that this took place in and knowing some of the people in this book, it's pretty eerie to say the least.

Edit: The book is way better than the Showtime mini-series...

Yes, about the Jeff Davis 8 and it dives into many other deaths and murders as well.

Yes, it’s a great book. I’m from Jennings and used to pass the Boudreaux Inn and Budget Inn every day to work. It’s scary knowing that it all went down right there so close to me. It’ll never get solved though.

It’s been so long since I read it, but I mostly agree. I was a little skeptical about the Boustany part. I don’t know how much of that story is true. It seems kind of far fetched.
As far as the documentaries, the ID one was okay, but the Showtime one was solid. You have to be an idiot to believe law enforcement wasn’t behind the murders in some way. I believe the corruption goes higher than Jennings police as well. There are too many people who died suspiciously that knew something.
