I've Started My Second Read of The Malazan Book of the Fallen after a few months

I highly recommend that anyone who has read these do this. I'm amazed at the things that I missed the first time. These books are full of gems on a reread.

I labored through the first one and stopped about halfway through the second. Just didn't grab my attention like I hoped it would.

Loved them all the way, and I've reread parts, but I just don't think I have it in me to reread them all front to back again. 
You're right, though. The offhand comments and small details that you miss or don't yet understand the first time through really help tie so many things together.
