My niece, 8, loves Magic Treehouse, Amelia Bedelia and Julie B Jones books. She’s getting ready to start the Harry Potter series.

Mine have all liked the first two or three Harry Potter books at that age.

Lots of great ones listed.

Mine really liked Harry Potter as well at that age.

But, you can't go wrong with Roald Dahl. The BFG, James and the Giant Peach and Matilda were the most popular for mine.
