The drive thru remained opened even after the inside was closed, and I couldn't have been happier to have access to books and media during this shut down. This continued for just a few days and then unexpectedly the drive thru shut down as well. I had no idea that my library would be one of the things I miss the most, and I'm so anxious to have it back but I have no idea who to talk to about it. Obviously, there's no one there taking calls. It was worth a shot to ask here.

Any insight?

I can’t speak for library officials in the Lafayette area, but word is Ascension Parish libraries are set to open when the governor’s stay-at-home order expires on April 30. Like Lafayette libraries, those in Ascension Parish ceased operations just days after Gov. Edwards issued the order. I hope this helps!

The drive through at Lafayette libraries are now open, and will be under their regular hours. No entry into the library to browse or use computers. Browse online and place holds for pick up at the drive through.
