Has anyone here actually finished Dhalgren, and if so, did you find it worth the trouble? I enjoy a challenging read, but I got about a hundred pages in to that book and abandoned the attempt. The story was not interesting enough to me to make it worth slogging through the offbeat writing style of the author. Anyone have a different experience?

Read it as a project in college. Finished it.
I liked it enough, it certainly had some odd parts, and I'd rather read Neal Stepehenson, but I think it's worth it. Mostly because, there are no other books like Dhalgren. Legitimately one of a kind and I like those kinds of reads.

Yeah, I liked it even though I really didn't understand it.
