I've read most of Cornwell's work outside of Sharpe. I've been reluctant to get into another long series but I'm also curious and intrigued. Is it worth the time and effort?

The Sharpe series is a great read. You will learn a lot about the history of the Peninsula War.

Yes. It works in terms of the overall history and the drama concerning the main characters within. Highly recommend the series.

I’m working my way through the audiobook versions right now.

I’m on the 4th book and really enjoying it.

When you finish, check out the Flashman series.
