Anyone else doing Hoopla?
Hoopla, or it may be something else in your neck of the woods.

If you've got a library card and download the app you'll be amazed once you register through your county library.

Best sellers, latest releases (when it comes to books), comics, audio books, movies ... I highly recommend that you give it a try.

You'll be amazed at how much you save (you'll be getting for free) that you used to spend money on downloading on Kindel or ordering through Amazon. Movies too. The selection just might surprise you.

Anyways, was simply wondering if anyone else enjoyed Hoopla as much as do I.

Is hoopla the same thing as Overdrive? I use that for the EBR Library. They keep trying to get me to use something called Libby but it looks like the Overdrive app so I haven't checked it out. I love Overdrive, it has audiobooks, ebooks and videos although I have only used audiobooks and ebooks so far.

We use Overdrive here in Houston. Our library used to have Hoopla but discontinued using it. Overdrive gives me everything I need. My wife (no pics) is fond of saying that the library is probably the best use of our tax dollars.

OverDrive is similar to Hoopla. Your library may use one or both. I have both apps on my phone since some books are only available on one. Libby is redundant; should not need it.

Libby auto downloads the books I've had on hold. Why I use it instead of overdrive. But I use overdrive to rent the books, though. I have multiple libraries and overdrive separates them.

Overdrive does this for my audio books. I'm not sure about ebooks though. It was the default setting and I haven't checked to see what the setting is for ebooks.

re: Anyone else doing Hoopla?
Downloaded Overdrive tonight and it does appear to be similar to Hoopla.

Thanks for the alternative gentlemen.

Seems like Hoopla works better on my Droid and Kindel and Overdrive works better on my iPad. But I’m going to put it through it’s paces for awhile and really get to know the differences.

ETA: I just added Libby as well. Okay, looks like this is all good. Thanks for putting me on this path friends.

FWIW Hoopla does appear to be the more full service app, more ease of use oriented and definitely more accessible when it comes to the available movies.
