The series adaptation of the Robert McCammon novel “Swan Song” has found its writer, Variety has learned exclusively.
Russell Rothberg has boarded the project, which was first announced in January, to serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. The show is now being taken out to market.
The official logline for the show states:
“Following the U.S. government’s nuclear showdown with an unprecedented malevolent enemy, the world, as it was, is gone forever. In its place is a society whose remaining citizens are caught in a life and death struggle to stay alive in a wasteland born of rage and fear, populated by monstrous creatures and marauding armies. One small girl offers a glimmer of hope against a supernatural being hell bent on the planet’s destruction.”

Depending on which network picks this up, this could be amazing.

While we seem to be in the middle of a werewolf movie resurgence, I am once again asking for The Wolf's Hour to be made into a movie or limited series.

Oh hell yeah. Love that novel.
Did you ever read Hunter from the Woods, which is a series of short stories set in the Wolf's Hour universe?

Hopefully you can find it. Apparently it was a limited release. I was able to find a copy on Abe Books.

He’s my favorite author and Boys Life is far and away my favorite novel of all time.
Really wish THAT would get a show as 10-12 episodes could be amazing.

it's a fantastic book that is one of my favorite novels of all time. a show could be great, but they will be unable to resist the temptation to make Macklin and Roland buffoonish, Hollywood caricatures of MAGA conservatives.

I haven't looked yet. My weekend turned out to be booked. Still on my list as soon as I have some free time.

While you're telling the future, can you go ahead and let a brother know what next week's Powerball numbers are?
