I didn't realize she was that old.

I never got around to reading her books, but they've always been in the back of my mind as something I need to get around to. Are they good? I know they're popular, but I always saw them as something lonely New Orleans housewives would read then discuss at their bridge club.

I’m not a housewife. Short answer is yes.
I really like the first four vampire books, Interview, The Vampire Lestat, Queen of the Damned, and Body Thief
Mayfair Witches books are good, the first Mummy book is also pretty good.
But ultimately it’s subjective.
