Ole Miss officially announced late Sunday night that Matt Luke has been named head coach of the Rebels.

Multiple sources are reporting that Ole Miss interim coach Matt Luke is expected to be named the permanent head coach.

Luke guided the Rebels to a 6-6 record this past season.

Either they gave up on finding someone good with probation coming or put alot of stock in the MSU win.

Unfortunately this feels like Mr. Luke is going to be the Sylvester Croom for Ole Miss. He'll be there for a few years to get them through probation and his record will be average. As soon as they are off, they will let him go and go get a bigger name. Happy for the guy and sad for him at the same time.
