Ole Miss defensive back Dante Core was reportedly arrested on drug charges in Alabama on December 26.

The freshman from Fort Walton Beach, Fla., has not played in any games this season.

Dante Core was arrested the day after Christmas on Friday in Andalusia in southern Alabama on drug charges, according to the Covington County Sherriff's Department database. The department said he was found with drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Core, originally from the Florida panhandle, is a freshman defensive back who has not appeared in a game this year. FOX13 reached out to Ole Miss to find out about his status for Thursday's Sugar Bowl game against Georgia but have not heard back.
